Generation gap and double standards of the middleclass, provide the base of comdey of this show. Mathur and his wife Veena, Mathur's walthy brother Mohanlal and his family and their overtly traditional mother Leeta Devi are the protagonists of the show. The difference in the point of view of the children and the adults lead to hilarious situation as many of the demands and pranks of the kids undermine the conventions of society.
